Mindful Mondays @ Cross Cultural Center, Ring Room

Join us every Monday for Mindful Mondays!

Every Monday will be a different mindfulness practice such as meditation, mindful movement, loving-kindness meditation, and many more. Mindfulness has been scientifically proven to help us cope with life’s stressors. Some of the benefits include anxiety reduction, enhanced sleep, improved mood, and increased ability to focus.

No previous experience necessary and great for beginners. Participants will receive an essential oil roller to carry their mindfulness practice with them wherever they are.

Wednesday Wellness Walk: San Joaquin Wildlife Preserve @ Meet Outside Zot N' Go

Wednesday Wellness Walks are a bi-weekly walking excursion to local points of interest near UCI. We’ll visit various parks and nature preserves that are right here in our backyard, all while incorporating mindfulness and ecological education! The walks are open to all students, faculty, and staff.

  • June 5th (Week 10): UCI Ecological Preserve
Journal To Wellness @ Student Center G319 (at the Center for Student Wellness & Health Promotion)

Join us at our Journal to Wellness workshops, where UCI students can gather to unwind, contemplate, and foster a sense of well-being through the process of writing and journaling. In our warm and interactive environment, attendees delve into the essential balance of caring for their minds, bodies, and communities. Start a transformative journey towards self-discovery with different journal prompts each week.

The Behind Happy Faces interactive workshop helps students understand the many ways our mental health can be challenged, and how to identify effective coping strategies for yourself and others. This presentation will expose participants to the knowledge necessary to understand mental health in their own lives as well as how to navigate emotional relationships with others.

Relationship Matters @ Student Center G319 (at the Center for Student Wellness & Health Promotion)

We have numerous relationships to navigate in our lives, ranging from friends, family, classmates, romantic partners etc. Yet, we often neglect to reflect on them and truly inquire why they are important and how we can nurture them and ourselves. During this workshop series, we will delve into the most important aspects of building and maintaining relationships and consider creative ways to keep them healthy. In each workshop, we will explore a different aspect of relationships, ranging from the significance of social connection to communication styles and problem-solving techniques.
